Blume Packaging

This Blume Project was learning about how to make your own font and applying it to a brand of sorts. The assignment for me was inspired by Bed Bath and Bodyworks perfume. The layout is 6’ by 5” just in time to wrap around a normal-sized bottle by them. When creating the font, I had always loved scripted fonts for the extra flare and the fact that it felt handwritten. I was also inspired by serf fonts, but I knew that they had to be bold enough to be seen from places. When I uploaded the fonts I drew from hand into the computer, I noticed how messy it was. So, I ended up going into illustrator to clean it up and came back with this. For this name and design for perfume layout, I chose to make flowers as at the time of designing I heavily enjoy flora perfumes and I still do so I produced a gradient and simple shades of pink to keep it monochromatic and light-hearted feel with the logo out of the custom font.
